Why do we like this?
Considering how much electronic music I've reviewed recently, it wouldn't be fair to leave out one of Sydney's most promising acts, Polographia. While the duo hasn't released anything for a little while (their debut album Dinner for Two is due for release midway through this year), their Sunsets EP from 2011 is well worth a listen. You can download it in full on their Bandcamp -- what a generous bunch!
Previously DJs before branching off into production, they certainly have a nose for a crowd-pleaser. "Righteous Hit" was the front-running track off the EP, and for good reason -- glitchy and sun-drenched, their chillwave style compares favorably with the likes of Toro Y Moi and Washed Out.
Aside from their album release, the next few months will be busy for the boys. Firstly appearing at the xxyyxx show in Sydney, they'll then be setting off around the country as the main support for fellow Sydney-siders RÃœFÃœS. 2013 is set to be a huge year for Polographia.
