Touted as the next big thing by uber cool tastemaker labels Neon Gold and Kitsuné Maison, it's safe to say that a lot of people have been waiting for Polarsets' debut album to drop. After a prolonged recording period, including a 2010 trip to EDM capital Ibiza to work on songs, the debut album, titled Parasols, is finally set to hit our shores towards the end of September. Lead single "Madrid" only makes us more excited.
A fast-paced tropical number, "Madrid" features sun-soaked jangly guitars and tribal drums a la Two Door Cinema Club and Australian favourites Cub Sport, as well as nerdy, sophisticated melodies and squeaky clean production, which all perfectly gel together to make this song the festival anthem that it surely will be.
Parasols is due for release on September 21, but in the meanwhile you can keep up with Polarsets on their Facebook.
