Imagine being able to capture the astounding sites and beautiful sounds of travel through one fun and easy-to-listen to song. Sound crazy? Well, say hello to Pogo's Word Remix project.
Pogo is the alias of music producer/YouTube video remixer Nick Bertke. He is known for his hit songs "Alice," "Expialidocious" and "Upular" in which he cuts together small bits of voice, musical sequences, and sound effects from films in order to piece together one track that captures the essence of that movie. His unique mix of video clips and sound choices blend together fantastically in order to create admirably complex songs that are both fun to listen to and inspiring in their creativity.
More recently, Pogo has expanded his musical prowess into creating songs that take bits of sound from real life interaction (such as "Gardyn"). With this idea in mind, he has proposed the idea of a World Remix CD - a project hoping to pair the magnificent settings of the world with musical video tracks composed exclusively of voices and noises that he has seen and heard.
Pogo has eschewed corporate investors in order to maintain the integrity of his project and for that definitely deserves the help of the indie music scene. You can help out by donating on his Kickstarter profile and support his music by downloading or purchasing it on his website.
