PLOY is back with their newest single titled "VRDSNT," and Indie Shuffle was lucky enough to cop the premiere of the track. Featuring electro-pop beats with bubbly synth and perky percussion, it showcases exactly what Gil Wojcik and Justin Victoria do best.
Following their release of "
Fool," "
Gold," and "
Elevator Talk," the Hyattsville-based duo present us with a sound that ventures in a bit of a new direction. "VRDSNT" is a little poppier, showcasing accentuated use of electric synth, upbeat melodies and playful vocal lines.
Based on this sound, I'm pretty sure it's safe to assume that 2013 will be a sound-defining year for the boys of PLOY. They currently have two upcoming tour dates for you lucky DC-ers: one on April 19 with Holy Child at Velvet Lounge, and one on April 25 at the Rock and Roll Hotel w/ Dale Earnhardt JR JR. Happy concert going!
