The
Virgin Mobile Freefest is going down this Saturday at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. For those Shufflers out of the loop, or bad with context clues, it's a
free music festival that benefits youth homelessness by asking attendees to donate $10. As to be expected, tickets for Freefest 2012 "sold out" within minutes of going on sale.
Makes sense, considering that M83, Alabama Shakes, Jack White, Das Racist, Portugal. The Man, Penguin Prison, Alvin Risk, Santigold, Porter Robinson, Zedd, Nas, Skrillex and ZZ Top will all
be performing. Don't forget Above & Beyond, Ben Folds Five, Penguin Prison, The Dismemberment Plan and Nervo.
What's not to love? The only first world problem I've come across so far is how to catch Porter Robinson and Zedd back-to-back in the Dance Forest without missing Nas and M83 on the main stage. Time to start drafting a game plan.
