This past week I had the privilege of seeing a show at one of the coolest places I've ever been, and it was perfect for getting into the Halloween spirit. With Halloween tomorrow night, I thought tonight was the perfect night for a playlist dedicated to Santa Fe's Meow Wolf.
So what is Meow Wolf? It's an old bowling alley that George R.R. Martin (of Game of Thrones fame) helped purchase that was then converted into an artists' haven/fun-house/mystery by the Meow Wolf Arts Production Company that they call House of Eternal Return. As you walk in, it's a slightly creepy suburban house not much different to the house outside of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Disneyland.
Then as you enter the house it get's crazy as Stranger Things meets the Twilight Zone with bizarre twists and turns taking you in to different dimensions with rooms covered in anime inspired scribbling or playable, musical wooly mammoth bones just to name a few of the crazy rooms.
It's pretty much something you have to experience if you get the chance. If you can't make it though, I've tried to put together a playlist inspired by some of the feelings that overtook me as I made my way through.
