The sixth annual Outside Lands Music and Arts (and "Food") Festival has come to an end, and I am already counting down the days till next year. With 71 local restaurants providing fuel for your dancing fire, and 36 Bay Area wineries and 16 breweries to helping provide that extra layer off warmth, Outside Lands has everything you need and more to leave your heart in San Francisco. And while the crowds get bigger and bigger each and every year (+200,000 this year), there's something magical about the cold forest setting in Golden Gate Park that makes it worthwhile. And if you were there on Saturday, you might have experienced a very rare and special event that has only happened one or two times in the history of Outside Lands... the sun came out!
I am just going say it, Outside Lands was way better than Coachella this year. Mind you, there were similar acts at each, but you just can't beat the Golden Gate park vibes. From Sir Paul McCartney shutting the park down with "Hey Jude," to Hall and Oates playing their classics, to Zedd and A-Trak bringing the bass or Lazy Rich dominating the Heineken Dome, you were sure to experience a wide variety of amazing tunes.
In case you missed out on our Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3 playlists, be sure to check them out for more of the amazing talent that was keeping the Bay Area crowd at bay.
