Generally speaking, being a stalker is something frowned upon in today's society.  In fact, I would think that most of us find the behavior to be totally unacceptable, not to mention creepy.  Now throw in Josh Harnett   and a stellar soundtrack, and all of a sudden stalking seems a bit romantic. 2004's Wicker Park is a romantic thriller about Matthew Simon (played by Harnett), who goes on a hunt through Chicago looking for the lost love of his life.  All spurred by an overheard phone call, Matthew throws caution (as well as his fiancee, job, and respectability) to the wind as he goes to great lengths to find Lisa, a woman he was in love with two years previously and had mysteriously disappeared out of his life.  Breaking into hotel rooms, leaving notes, and stealing personal property, it appears there is no limit to what Matthew will do as he figures out exactly what had happened to Lisa.  All's fair in love and war, I suppose. While Wicker Park might not quite hold up to the French film it was based upon (L'Appartement), it does happen to have a fantastic collection of songs featured on the soundtrack.  It definitely does not hurt a movie's stock when it has music from the likes of indie music heroes Broken Social Scene and Death Cab for Cutie. Throw in the haunting Aqualung track "Strange and Beautiful" and the soulful "Maybe Tomorrow" by British rockers Sterephonics with the trip-hoppy Mum tune "We Have a Map of the Piano," and you've got a great collection of songs that could stand on their own without the movie. So, if you're busy stalking someone, or in the process of being stalked, this just might be the perfect playlist for you.
