Why do we like this?

Pixey is the self-appointed "indie Britney Spears" according to her Instagram bio. Yet to release a full-length album, Pixey's discography includes three EPs released over the past three years, the most recent one being Sunshine State.

The title track, like the rest of the EP, is unabashedly upbeat, with fast-paced lyricism and a buoyant instrumental. As Pixey lyrics go, the song does in fact make you want to "Dance 'til you drop" all the way into spring as the track provides a reprieve from the gloomy winter weather.

This track is the standout of the EP, perfectly executing Pixey's syrupy sound, taking it to its highest form of pop and forever channelling Britney Spears.
