Why do we like this?
Is this song stunning, or what? Phoria's "Red" "combines beguiling melodies, elegant arrangements and ethereal vocals" (according to the song description) to produce something reminiscent of Sigur Ros or James Blake. Based out of Brighton, Britain, Phoria is gearing up for the April 29, 2013 release of their newest body of work: an EP titled Bloodworks.
Following the 2010 album release of Yourself Still, Phoria has kept busy not only writing music, but also sharing the stage with the likes of Little Dragon, Ultraista, Active Child and Dodgy.
"Red" accentuates the power that minimalist electronica embodies, captivating all listeners with its emotion-heavy vocals and modest use of clap percussion. In short, we can't get enough.
