Scandinavia has never shown any lack of substance when it comes to pop prowess. Norway’s newest export Philco Fiction is one of the newest gems when it comes to female-fronted Scandinavian pop.
The Oslo-based duo comprised of Turid Alida Solberg and Andreas Lønmo Knudsrød just released their newest single “Talk/Brag” from their forthcoming sophomore album, and it’s a fine example of how two artists are able to meld their ideas together and effortlessly produce a wonderful song.
Along with Solberg airy vocals and Knudsrød’s production, which contains layers of synths that wash like waves against the beach, “Talk/Brag” echoes with 80s new wave flavors that will resonate all over your body.
The track won’t be out until Killing Moon Records releases it next year, so take a good listen and hit repeat over and over to experience the song’s lush harmonies and melodies during the upcoming winter.
