Back in the United States, radio is largely dead (at least for the 18-35 demographic of active music seekers. And I haven't looked up the data on that - it's just anecdotal).
Meanwhile, here in South Africa, FM transmission still has some swagger. Case in point: local radio station 5FM managed to convince two of the country's hottest acts to get together for a week and co-create a new song.
The result is "Caviar Dreams," a downtempo indie pop track that melds the best of Al Bairre's indie pop sensibility with PHFat's smooth lyricism and production quality. If the two of them were to collab on a full album, I wouldn't complain...
