Why do we like this?
Phantogram's latest single "Don't Move" starts out abruptly, much like this review.
A bit more than a year ago, the band carved out a strong niche for themselves as rising trip-hop stars (check out our review of Eyelid Movies). However, with "Don't Move" they appear to be straying into a new territory -- something a little more upbeat and poppy. One thing that remains is that distinguished guitar lick you've probably heard in a number of their tracks.
The duo will be releasing their upcoming EP Nightlife some time next month on Barsuk, featuring six brand spanking new tracks. We'll keep you posted!
