Following the success of their sophomore album Voices, Phantogram has been touring up a storm this summer, hitting venues and festivals all across the globe. With several stellar tracks and collaborations ranging from Big Boi to Gorillaz under their belt, this gorgeous NY duo has created quite a stir in the psych-pop genre and are only getting bigger and better each passing month.
Today we have a sick remix of standout track "Black Out Days" tweaked and tuned by Future Islands. Unlike the original, this version is taken down a few notches with a heavy bassline, subtle synth, and gentle reverb surrounding Sarah Barthel's haunting vocals. If you listen close enough, you can definitely recognize the faint nuances of Future Islands embracing the Phantogram aesthetic creating a killer sound and altogether ideal match.
