Why do we like this?
Sit back and enjoy the ethereal, genre-bending sounds of Mr. Jaymes Young. His latest is a mix of Phaeleh's "Distraction" that is very lush and really brings the influencer to life.
A minimalist beat in conjunction with deep, echoing vocals creates an epic sound that flows though the ears quite nicely. These vibes are heavy, yet very well produced -- as is the case with much of his past work.
The 23-year-old artist/producer, who hails from one of the greatest music towns in the U.S. Pacific Northwest, is currently signed to Atlantic records, and is fresh off a tour with the unmistakeable London Grammar.
It's apparent that his leap from buzzworthy blog artist to mainstream player has taken place, and it's highly probable we'll be hearing more from this talented musician in 2014.
