Why do we like this?

Los Angeles based David Halsey -- former member of duo SKULS -- just released his debut original "Pompous," and it's an explorative new take at the played out genre that is future bass. The youthful energy on this track is so welcoming, and the larger-than-life kick drums keep you moving from beginning to end.

"Pompous" is a song that feels like a blast of childlike seratonin. Using textures, speedy percussion breaks, and high pitched vocals, the goal was to create an aggressive yet visceral feeling of pure exhilaration. The song is so glittery and exaggerated that it almost feels like a cartoon. It’s excessive beyond its own good. It’s "Pompous."

If you dig this, make sure to head over to SoundCloud and follow Petticoat for more.
