World, meet Yannick Ilunga. He is a 21-year-old talent making big waves out of Cape Town, South Africa. Under the guise Petite Noir, Ilunga crafts some seriously soulful tunes that are sure to stir up some deep-buried emotions. Mixing live instrumentation with innovative electronic production influenced by his homeland, Petite Noir demonstrates a keen ear for rich, layered sounds. He also has a haunting voice.
"Till We Ghosts" is the debut single from Noir's forthcoming release out on August 13 via
Bad Life Records. I am very interested to see what else Petite has in store. Hopefully some more of that entrancing guitar work that makes "Till We Ghosts" so damn good.
