Why do we like this?

In contrast to our usual Song of the Day hip-hop features, here's some quality underground hip-hop a la the artists featured in our Back to the Basics series.

The two members of People Under the Stairs hail from L.A., and have released seven albums since their formation in 1997. Their sound has been compared to A Tribe called Quest, Jurassic 5 and The Pharcyde (who, coincidentally, have one of the best music videos of all time).
