Peeling has taken things down a notch with the release of their second single, "Magic Eye."
Following on from the blistering noise-rock of "Leisure Life," this new track finds Peeling in more reserved form, but no less enthralling.
"Magic Eye" is anchored by fuzzy guitars and a prominent bass line, with vocalist Annabelle Lee's hazy delivery creeping over the static.
Speaking on the track, Lee had this to say;
"Magic Eye" is about sex positivity, feeling lusty and getting it on. I was listening to a lot of Rowland S. Howard and old Japanese psych when I came up with the bass line, inspired by their super dark and sultry tones. Writing the rest of the song was just building over that repetitive groove until it climaxes at the end."
Peeling's debut EP, Rats In Paradise, drops October 14.
