Tessela's monstrous "Hackney Parrot" was one of last year's biggest club tunes, calling on memories of hardcore and rave to send dance floors into a frenzy.
Paul Woolford has drawn on another of the UK's much-loved 90s genres, speed garage, in his refix of the tune. The heavy bassline recalls some of the genre's greatest tracks and breathes new life into the song. In my opinion, this is one of the best tracks of the year so far.
Woolford is proving a master of all trades lately, with house bangers like "Untitled" under his own name as well as the jungle indebted Soul Music album he released under his Special Request alias.
Paul has kindly sent over a full copy of the tune, not available anywhere else at the moment, and its and assures us it will be available shortly to buy.
