Sounds like:
Deadboy,
Jamie xx,

Why do we like this?
When this one came up on Tumblr, I initially took it for a reworking of one of Weller's oldest tracks -- albeit one I wasn't familiar with -- as a bit of fun by Deadboy. But in fact, it turns out that "Starlite" is Weller's latest release, and that Deadboy had been asked for an official remix.
I think that helps to show how far future garage has come. This time one year ago, it was still relatively unknown. While it was growing in popularity here in the UK, it had yet to have any impact stateside, nor had it drawn the attention of the likes of Pitchfork, as it has now done.
It's these progressions in the genre that have led to this happening. Musical legends such as Paul Weller are sitting up and taking notice =- and the likes of Deadboy are being thrust into the limelight. This can mean only one thing: more future garage!
As long as Deadboy continues to produce stuff this good, the limelight is somewhere we expect him to stay for quite a while.
