Why do we like this?
I first discovered young British singer-songwriter and general mouthful Paul Thomas Saunders at the time he released his ethereal EP Descartes Highlands in 2012..

Influenced by the likes of Joe Meek and Leonard Cohen, I was instantly entranced by his compelling lyrics and spacey, psychedelic vibes. After a short hiatus, spent writing his debut album Beautiful Desolation, he's back with "Good Women," self-described as a song about "those cretins holding the hand of someone who ought to be holding your hand" "“ a topic he hopes everyone can relate to.

Unlike some of his older tracks, the characteristic purity of his echoed, whispery vocals and minimalist instrumental arrangements have progressed here to an altogether more polished, melody-driven sound that will be sure to appeal to fans of Benjamin Francis Leftwich.

Having recently played his second ever London headline show and toured with the likes of Julia Stone and Bombay Bicycle Club, it seems Saunders is slowly creeping up the rungs towards the well-deserved spotlight.
