Paul-Marie Barbier takes a break from the humdrum of Caravan Palace and turns it all down to a slow river rhythm on piano.

"Melancolia" is a slow floating sound, a little leaf in a river of keys, the track bops and weaves through the classical and quirky, only to have us slightly teared up, if not because of sadness, but because of the beautiful calm we just heard.

Paul-Marie has done something so special, the track takes a sound so famous for being busy, loud and unabashed, and has slowed it down to a little river run of joy and calm
