Why do we like this?

Paul Ceraso's cover of Roberta Flack's "Feel Like Making Love" is a dream pop rendition of a classic soul gem.

It's always interesting to me to hear what modern bands do with old classics. Sometimes it's mediocre, other times it's impressive. Paul Ceraso's take on this single is definitely the latter. The energy shift in his version is still palpable but definitely relaxed, which is still an appealing sound that today's indie music lovers appreciate and eat right up.
