I'm a huge fan of this sinister yet sexy new take on dark electro-soul I've been coming across lately.. and "Synthetic Heart" is the perfect summation of this sound. It's equal parts electronic production and honest, soulful vocals. They incorporate live drums and viola into their production, making for a compelling mix of analog and digital.
Groovy and amorphous, "Synthetic Heart" is a collection of celestial sounds that undulate through spacey chords and body-shaking breakdowns. The artist describes their sound as "galactic soul breaks" which sounds awesome in theory, and even better in practice. This track sets them in a new sonic direction, and I'm excited to see what they develop next.
If you're a fan of the organic vs digital crossover, keep an eye out for the Melbourne three-piece, they've got much more music on the horizon.
