Peter Wiley is Pascäal, a Texan based out of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and his single "Dragonlillies" channels all that there is to wobble-heavy chillwave, with an experimental, electronic complexity. The single was released in affiliation with
GRL MTN, a collective of musicians brought together as friends by the spirit of Ann Arbor.
"Dragonlillies" was featured on their latest mix titled
Aural II, surrounded by "abstractly melancholic ballads to pulsating grooves" (according to GRL MTN's site), which was all within an organic and electronic environment. GRL MTN includes the talent of Pascäal, among others such as Chrome Sparks, Dreampeter, FTHRSN and Subvader, to name a few.
According to their site,
Aural II "cascades through nouveau electronic, Detroit-influenced house, ambient swelling spirituals, orchestral/electronic pieces and noise speckled rock," proving the diversity that the collective possesses.
If you should take anything away from this, it's that Pascäal hangs with the cool kids.
