Why do we like this?
PARTYNEXTDOOR is the first sign on Drake's October's Very Own record label; he dropped his first mixtape (which you can download here) at the beginning of the month. A cross between Drake's emotional R&B styling and The Weeknd's moody electronica, PARTYNEXTDOOR has all the trademarks of the next big thing.
While it's hard to choose a standout from his self-titled mixtape (as there really isn't a weak link), I'm currently digging "Welcome To The Party." Opening his mixtape, "Welcome To The Party" sets the scene with PARTYNEXTDOOR's smooth vocals and electronic-themed R&B sound that is all the rage these days.
