Orlando "Jersey Club" duo Vices is going to be the next big name in the genre. Jared Birdseye and Dylan Goldston met each other through their local music scene, and really hit it off after some time. They both had existing music projects when they got together -- Jared is half of "trap" duo DVNK SINATRV, as is Dylan with Gold Mob. Both sharing similar influences and a strong desire to make "Jersey Club" music heard in clubs all over, it only made sense when the two got together and started crushing it as Vices.
The artists immediately received support from DJ Sliink on their first track, a remix of Cathy Dennis' "Touch Me." With initial support from one of the head pioneers of the genre, their project began to blossom. Cashmere Cat and TJR both dropped Vices tracks in their sets at TomorrowWorld. Hopefully, it won't be long before you see them playing at a festival near you.
Combining influences from future bass, hip-hop and "Jersey Club" on their newest track, the Orlando duo recreates PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake's "Recognize." With majority of their tracks, you hear a crossover of styles; typically it's a combination of club music and trap. This remix infuses the future bass sound where they would typically put a half time "trap" section.
Expect to hear a lot more about these guys, because this project is going to skyrocket any day now.
