Why do we like this?

There's a fine line these days when it comes to female vocalists sounding quite similar. In light of that, I tend to pass over a number of new releases in the genre.

P'ARIS' new single "Confidence" managed to stand out for a couple reasons:

1) She's got a great voice, and the brief male vocals balance it out nicely.

2) There's a weird hint of shoegaze beneath the surface.

3) It sounds pretty chill.
