Ella Cooley has the voice of God. Paper Void's lead singer is famous for giving 100% of her listeners goosebumps with her modern, Motown inspired vocals. Rapper Alberto Guzman, Cooley's partner in crime, blows minds on the daily with his conscious lyrics and upbeat, soulful flow. The two of them play and dance over ever evolving soundscapes that blur the line between jazz, soul, and hip-hop.
Paper Void is a nine-piece band with one of the best brass sections in the Bay Area. Their drummer Alex Favaro is so tight rumor has it he can fix a leaky faucet just by playing a beat. "Too Much Space" is an epic seven minute track which fully displays the band's versatility, from the bright optimism of the keys to the spacey full-on Pink Floyd breakdown that bridges Ella and Alberto's sections.
