This Nashville-based duo appear to be quite prolific: they're currently working on their 4th album in 2 years. Usually that leads to an artist "spreading themselves thin" and putting out less-than-stellar music. Clearly not the case for ØZWALD, though.
"Fair Thee Well" is a fairly straightforward folk-rock song in that it doesn't push for a specific "unique" edge within the genre. Rather, it falls back to a catchy and easy-to-approach melody that has me humming along every time I hit play.
To top that all off they round the song out within 3-minutes, seemingly a wise strategy in 2020's age of short-attention-spans. I've found myself on more than one occasion doing a double take: "wait, it ended so quickly, I was just getting into it!"
Fortunately this review will stick around for years and years, so you're welcome to come back at your discretion ;-)
