Storytelling at its finest. ØZWALD's "Artificial Odyssey" takes us away to a world of dust and flat land where the salt-of-the-earth people live. They spend their youth dreaming of elsewhere and one day, they make it happen. All the while, they take their roots with them. They're bored, they leave, but they take what they leave forever with them.
People who meet these characters recognize instantly that they are different. While these different ones, on the other hand, see that reality can wholly change in an instant. And so, see everything as an artificial odyssey, especially our very own cherished realities into which they peer with piercingly clear vision.
This marks the title track on the band's latest album, sparked to life by the purchase of a vintage red Supro guitar and matching amp. Speaking to the track, the band explains:
"The character in the song is potentially Arthur Ingram's love interest, she doesn't care much for the technology of the day, mom was a hippy - she's a hippy. And she really needed someone to sing about it in the voice of Lou Reed."
