Why do we like this?
I'm a huge fan of Boards of Canada, so when Outbanders sent me their new EP Emergent Patterns I was pretty much into it from the moment things started.
The release comes as the Austin-based duo's debut. Zak Angelle and Brandon Valosek describe the EP as "a small collection of dark, celestial electronic instrumentals that evokes imagery of ethereal and arcane ancient geometries," and, well, I just copy-pasted that because it's a damned accurate description.
