If I told you that the best song you'll hear today is a jazz cover of Shania Twain, just how furrowed would your forehead area become? How loud would you laugh? 

Whatever the answer, I would be the one laughing last because the phenomenal Otis Brown III and his all-star team knock this one out of the park.

It starts with Otis' delicately assertive percussion and builds with Robert Glasper's deft touch on the piano. Finally, Gretchen Parlato brings a sublime charm to her take on Shania's timeless pop vocal. 

The Thought Of You drops September 23rd through Revive/Blue Note. Do yourself a favor.
