The Denver based Option4 makes outlandishly manic house music and continues his brand of getting silly and going hard on "The Vicious Rule of the Safah."
Sounding like Ten Walls if he took some MDMA and ate a bag of Doritos while wearing pink, fuzzy bunny slippers, "The Vicious Rule of the Safah" is, well, vicious.
Building from off-kilter, Middle Eastern synth sounds which feel like they were ripped off an old Sega Genesis cartridge, Option4's most recent entry in his graphic novel/ song-series project is the unabashedly original kind of work dance music sorely needs. Choosing to utilize sonic landscapes unlike his peers, "The Vicious Rule of the Safah" is another prime example of how Option4 instinctively bolts from the pack and makes a little play fort for himself.
It's authentic, risky, and bold. "The Vicious Rule of the Safah" is an iron fist of a banger.
