More OOFJ? Yes, please. The more I hear from the L.A.-based husband-and-wife duo, the more I love them.
OOFJ is Jens Bjørnkjær and Katherine Mills Rymer. They met while working on the musical score of Lars Von Trier's Melancholia, and have both recently worked on Ai Wei Wei's not-yet-released Berlin, I Love You (A Berlin-based film for which Wei Wei, banned from leaving China, directed via Skype).
Following on from "You're Always Good" and "I Forgive You," "Cliffdive" is airy and eerie -- their calling card, it seems -- and minimalist in the most non-minimalist way imaginable. Their most ambient track to date, it evokes a kinds of heavenly vibe, as though the melody is almost a kind of otherworldly chant or prayer.
Yet another gorgeous track from the pair! I cannot wait for the release of their LP Acute Feast, coming out on April 21 (my birthday!) via Ring The Alarm/Fake Diamond Records.
