Sounds like:
Apples In The Stereo,
fun.
Why do we like this?
Poppy? Oh yeah, very much so. ON AN ON's new single "The Hunter" sounds nothing like the band's last single "Ghosts," which we compared to Beach House and Broken Social Scene (they actually share the same producer as the latter, Dave Newfield).
The band is gearing up to release a new album titled Give In late-January, so it's nice that we're able to get a better picture of what we'll hear. Mind you, we've now got two pretty divergent tracks...so I'm not sure whether to expect something upbeat or something mellow. It's probably safe to say there'll be a little bit of both?
Either way, this Chicago based band is certainly poised to continue making noise.
