OMN is Ollie McKendrick-Ness, an 18 year old producer from the UK (Birmingham, to be exact). To date, he's got a handful of self-released tracks, and even more potential as a young Oliver Tank in the making.
"Betwixt" is a particular favo(u)rite of mine, and it captures the most emotional intensity of his releases. Vocals swirl in and out of many of his songs, but "Betwixt" harnesses them for a more concentrated listening experience with a strong point of view. It leans a bit melodramatic, but there's a lighter pulse that doesn't drag the track down. In fact, it keeps you glued to its forward-moving pace.
If you're curious, there's a lot of experimentation going on on over at his Soundcloud (which the platform is so uniquely perfect for), and it's refreshing to be allowed access into such a process. I'd love to see more artists open up and show us pieces in development.
