Why do we like this?

It's with great pleasure that today we share with you a preview of Oliver Lake's upcoming solo album, What I Heard. The modern jazz veteran has a career that spans dozens of albums, more than four decades and a lineage in music that began since birth (his father was also a jazz cat). 

"6 and 3" is the first taste of What I Heard. The sax is front and center, supported by a strolling percussion and an organ that sounds like a half-smoked Newport.
