Pre-Matrix, Rob Dougan was a little known Australian producer with associations with Faithless.
He was also behind one of the best known pieces of modern classical work, "Clubbed to Death." With its Elgar sampling strings and huge percussion, this song is truly worthy of the word epic.
Despite its high profile - largely thanks to The Matrix and other film uses, it seems that few people could actually name Rob Dougan as the man behind this track - and that's why this is our Old School Wednesday this week.
