What better way to celebrate each Wednesday than with a classic song from yesteryear? It is with this in mind we present Old School Wednesdays, a new series we'll be running on Indie Shuffle. We'll be visiting a new track each Wednesday.
Whether you've heard them before want a reminder, or if you just want a gentle Indie Shuffle introduction to some all-time classics, we're sure this series has something for you.
First up is Dusty Springfield, with "Spooky." Originally recorded by Classics IV as a jazz fusion track, Springfield's sultry soul take is what really brought this simple, elegant song its prominence. It was reintroduced to a modern audience through it's heavy usage in the Guy Ritchie film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
