With so much incredible electronica being produced in Australia at the moment, Adelaide beatmaker Oisima is a name that those in the know are talking about as one of the finest (including fellow Australian producers Chet Faker and Flume). 2012 was a big year for him, with two EP releases in 2012 - From Dusk Till Dawn being followed shortly after by the similarly acclaimed Goddess EP.
The latest EP is an absolute triumph, which made picking a track to focus on almost impossible. "In the Mood" (a track he was assisted on by fellow Adelaide native Slamagotchi) is one of the more lively tracks off the EP, one which combines Oisima's technically adventurous beat-making with his tendency to roam into an almost psychedelic world. It's his ability to fuse hip-hop, jazz, psychedelia, dreamwave and world music together which separates this sound from others.
