Why do we like this?
I was having some trouble coming up with something to write about for this week's post until I popped in an old CD on my way home from work. I typically listen to more "dancey" stuff in the car so that I don't pass out at the wheel (I tend to get pretty relaxed when I'm driving). Anyway, Yuksek's remix of "Shame On Me" by Amanda Blank came on and I was in my groove-mode the rest of the way home. I decided to check for some new tracks... and voilah!
This remix is for Denmark native turned Yankee Oh Land -- and you can pick it up as a free download from her on SoundCloud in addition to the original track.
She is currently working on her first US album, and we can expect an EP at some point in the fall. "Son of a Gun" is definitely a catchy tune but it lacks the flair that I feel in Yuksek's remix.
This French producer never ceases to please with his remix material either. If you're a fan, he also has an album out which you can preview on his website.
