Why do we like this?
Ofelia K, the songstress who's been making waves with her unique spin on pop conventions and her stellar turn on the recent Kaskade and Felix Cartal track "Fakin' It," is circling back with her most recent single courtesy of South by Sea.
The track, "I Love My Lawyer," keeps Ofelia's wistful mentality and pairs it with warm, bubbly, sing-songy melodies which are quirkier than a marionette dancing on rainbow colored strings.
As always, much of the brilliance comes from Ofelia's songwriting: like a wisecracking, but sincere journal entry, she finds a charming sense of calm in her willingness to bare her soul on the canvas in front of her - even if it's a little bizarre. It's playful, but modest, and it's exceptionally sweet.
