Why do we like this?

Phantogram’s Josh Carter spins Odessa’s gentle “I Will Be There” into a sharply thumping dance track.

Odessa’s original take off her self-titled EP featured the California songstress’ lush vocals over an uplifting chorus. An anthemic love song with rich harmonies and gentle acoustics, you may recognize it from FOX's The Red Band Society.

By retaining Odessa’s slinky vocals and stripping most everything else in favor for Phantogram’s trademark industrial production, Carter's finished product is a remix even more compelling than the inspiration.
