Why do we like this?
After the successful release of their debut EP earlier this year, Oceanics have geared up for the new year with the release of "The City." With a clear Brit-pop influence, it's hard to believe that they are in fact an Australian band - but hey, I'm definitely not complaining.
"The City" is an infectious pop gem that will certainly see these guys rise up on the Australian shore front. Clean jangling tones, catchy guitar riffs, and above all, a voice that can only be rivalled by the one and only Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas.
Their debut album is due for release in March next year, and if I were you I'd be marking my calendars and saving the date.
