Why do we like this?

When Zach reached out to me about his band Obliques I assumed I'd hear a track and their page would go silent for a while.

To my surprise, three more tight-knit pop rock tunes have popped up on their budding SoundCloud in the past month—all the makings of an EP, or perhaps something more.

Stereogum hyped their first single "Cut Me Loose (Ill Feeling)," which is also featured here for good measure. It was my first taste of the New York/Berlin-based duo; likely won't be my last.
