Everyone loves a good cover track, but our friends over at Turntable Kitchen have taken things one step further with their new monthly subscription service Sounds Delicious. Each month a musical artist will record a favorite album of theirs in its entirety.
Already slated to take part in the project over the coming months is Ben Gibbard covering Teenage Fanclub's Bandwagonesque, Ava Luna covering Serge Gainsbourg’s Histoire de Melody Nelson, and The Pains of Being Pure At Heart tackling Tom Petty’s Full Moon Fever.
The first record available is Kiwi act Yumi Zouma taking on Oasis' seminal (What's The Story) Morning Glory?, with their take on "She's Electric" offering a glimpse of what you can expect. Full of fuzzy feedback and and shoegaze influences, Yumi Zouma's reimagining of the classic Oasis track is a superb effort that highlights just how good the song actually is.
The album will be out on April 6 with the vinyl limited to only 1000 copies, so get in quick and pre-order your copy now.
