Why do we like this?

I dig this song quite a bit. It has a bit of attitude, which isn't something I'm hearing much of these days.

Shouval, the man behind the act, is an Austin-based musician and... inventor? Apparently he's been been working on a visual dispute that responds to musical motion. More about that here.

For this song he was joined by Etienne “Teeny” Stoufflet, of Tank & the Bangas, Andrew Jordan on bass and Daniel Bloch on drums.

Anywho, stick around for a while because "Riper Than Ripe" progresses pretty sweetly, from upbeat indie rock to a saxophone-inspired crescendo that might just have you coming back to listen to the song again. I know it did that to me.
