Is it the weekend yet? Brooklyn-based Nude Beach seems to have already gotten the party started with their latest warm-weathered track and video for "Walkin' Down My Street."
With a sound weighing heavily on the scuzzy guitar-infused garage rock from the late 70s and the summery hook-laden vocals found in the late 60s, these guys sure know how to fill a noisy room with some pure rock n' roll goodness. What we have here is the perfect summertime jam you can rock out to at a house party or listen to on your way to some watery weekend escape, all cares out the window vanishing behind you.
Released yesterday via Other Music Recording Co and Fat Possum, Nude Beach II (a follow-up album from 2010's Nude Beach 12") has already received some nice words from the Times and other music blogs across the interwebs. While you can probably catch this NY trio gallivanting across the U.S. beer in hand, one can only hope that their praise continues and we can join in on the party.
